What are some in-depth feedbacks you can give for my response to the question I answered below?

This week we reviewed the role of long-term strategy and priorities for homeland security. Is the current organizational structure and strategy for DHS adequate to meet the broader range of challenges and threats over the next decade?

Over the next decade, I personally believe that The Department of Homeland Security will not meet the broader challenges and threats that are currently popping out within the world today. We have seen a numerous amounts of new threats worldwide where people are finding new ways to cause chaos and havoc across the world. When President George W. Bush established DHS, his intent was for a department to oversee terrorist actions and activity by securing national security post-9/11. Cyber threats to election systems in the United States gained prominence in the 2016 presidential election (Hodgson et al., 2022). We have seen a magnitude of new attacks in which DHS is trying to ensure it staying up to date with these types of such as phishing attacks, cyber security attacks (i.e., hacking) and even government election infrastructure attacks. According to DHS, "CISA has not adequately address terrorism and targeted violence in its recent election security documents. The election systems in the United States are unique and diverse because of the federal nature of the systems of government, DHS has emphasized the need to address threats of terrorism and targeted violence in its 2019 department-level framework" (DHS, 2020). DHS has also emphasized the importance of understanding both positive and potentially malicious uses of technology as it can be used to incite violence and misinformation campaigns. Although DHS has recognized the importance of CISA, continual changes in DHS leadership and within the CISA organization have hindered CISA's progress om election infrastructure planning activities. The leadership vacancies and repeated turnover, within DHS, CISA has not sufficiently prioritized key activities or established effective performance to monitor its progress in accomplishing its mission and goals of securing the Nation's election infrastructure. Without senior leadership guidance as a foundation, CISA cannot work successfully to develop the plans and strategies needed to secure the election infrastructure.
