A lot of experts wonder if many of these behaviors should even have a diagnosis if the behavior occurs between consenting adults. There is also the "concern" about how BDSM behaviors might not always be "safe" even if they are between consenting adults. Yet, a lot of sports aren't necessarily safe either (boxing, football, MMA), but we don't feel the need to diagnose.
