Dear Hiring Manager,

 

I am looking to attain the position of Labours Relations Coordinator. I heard about this position through my Human Resource Instructor at Nait, Chantelle Sevenson-Lewis. I am interested in this position to be the start of my future HR career. I have also heard many good things about PCL and know this is a company I would be honoured to work at.

 

In my time at Nait, I have taken every chance I had ( schedule permitting) to volunteer. I worked the NestFest as part of the green team and led tours around campus at new student orientation. In my time working as a contributing writer for The Nugget. I have written articles from Whyte Ave's history to interviewing models who walked the runway at New York Fashion Week. These experiences have given me valuable soft skills that I would not be able to learn in the classroom. This only enhances the skills I have learned in the kitchen. These skills, such as teamwork, adaptability, problem-solving and communication, are hard to master but essential to any organization. 

 

Mike Bray, who works at PCL gave my Intro to Human Resources presentation last semester. In his presentation, he mentioned all the wonderful things that make PCL a great employer. A few months later, I researched the company and saw that everything he said was true. I was waiting for a position to apply for.
