The office manager and billing and collections staff should be able to handle revenue cycle management if they are sufficiently staffed, but executive management should be involved in developing physician education on this topic and how their workflows would be affected by their involvement in RCM. To encourage physicians and other clinicians to be more supportive of the organization's business practices, they should be more involved in the decision making process, be involved in regular meetings regarding the business practices, and increasing their pay may help as well.
