WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT THIS, make a comment on each one

1 Explain the ripple effect. Within the tourism space, the ripple effect or the multiplier effect, is how dollars coming into a local economy from tourism goods and services effect that local economy. As explained in the YouTube video from this week by Tourism Teacher, tourism dollars come into an economy through tourists eating at restaurants, partaking in local attractions, etc. Restaurants then pay their staff, who can then fund their children to go to school and pay the farmers who they acquire their produce and meat from, who can then hire more staff to help service a larger demand. Those who have little or nothing to do with the tourism sector end up being affected by it within a community, thus why those destinations relying heavily on tourism flourish when travel is good, and become dismal when it's lacking or stagnant. According to tourismteacher.com, " The tourism multiplier effect occurs when the economic benefits of tourism are multiplied...This is largely fueled by the growth in the tourism industry and associated industries that grow as a result of tourism. It can bring wide-reaching benefits to people involved directly and indirectly with the tourism industry..

2. Describe ways that the private and public sectors are involved in the recreation, leisure, and tourism economy, as well as how they are directly or indirectly impacted.

Private and public sectors are involved in the recreation, leisure, and tourism economy because with public sectors as people do more outdoor activities then healthcare patients will decrease, but they will be able to partner with teachers and educators to teach others about the health benefits of working out and doing physical activity as well as going outside. Social care workers could help provide services and tips to help the community. private sectors could make things / do activities catered to outdoor activities such as clothing, snacks, events like Zumba, and markets. Both are impacted because the more people chose to go outside the more changes they will have within their sector
