1. what (if anything) did you think about climate change? How has that changed with the contexts we've added this term and through these readings/videos?
2. Pick one segment from the The Public's Radio series "The Big Fix" (linked in our overview), a climate change focused radio series for NPR of short pieces about the varieties of climate change mediation efforts. There are about many segments archived, embedded as recordings and to read, whichever you likejust click around and pick one that appeals to your interests. How does the angle on climate change you selected intersect with markets/institutions and with the ethical dimensions we looked at? Be specific in your connections, and make sure you name the segement you looked at.
3. This week we've talked about how climate change issues related to carbon have both important environmental justice and important market/institutional considerationsand that many of these things the individual citizen simply has no way of making the global change necessary. Acknowledging this, take a moment to brainstorm a response to climate trouble that attempts to address systemic changes. What is the specific change, how might it work, and what are the particular hurdles facing this change? As you answer, don't feel like you have to come up with some sort of iron-clad or realistic plan (we can be a little idealist, I think). Rather, using ideas from class, simply lay out a specific change you could advocate for or support in your community or through local, state, or national government.
