What is a good response to this?

Part 1

Hello everyone!! My name is Missy! I live in the Seattle, WA area with my husband, Dakota, and our three dogs, Chip (12-year-old Choc. Lab), Millie (7-year-old Border Collie/Australian Shephard), and Cricket (5-month-old Pomeranian). I am currently trying to convince him that we need another puppy so that Cricket has someone her own age to play with. Needless to say, the convincing isn't going so good. We enjoy the usual things: going for walks, watching football, camping, hanging out at home, and driving to the ocean and/or mountains. Luckily living where we live, we are only about an hour away from both! I absolutely love it. However, earlier this year I did start a new thing. I decided to join my husband hunting! Went through hunters' safety and everything! So far, I have only been turkey hunting, but I think that I will actually enjoy it!

I am not sure how to describe my professional life. Lol. Currently I run the back office of the general contracting company that my husband and I own. He is the brawn, and I am the brain. I have my Bachelors in Business Management and Administration from APU, I am a WA State licensed Real Estate Advisor, and a certified Paralegal. And now I am adding to all that by becoming a certified instructional designer. I guess you could say that I really enjoy learning new things.

For the past 3 years I have also been helping my sister-in-law with her business doing contract instructional design work. I have really enjoyed learning the content and then creating new learning platforms for others to learn from. I am looking forward to learning more about analyzing theories and creating objectives for adult learners. Creating learning experiences that will help adult learners understand new content and concepts is also something that I am looking forward to. This course will be very valuable as I start a new career!

Part 2

My understanding of cognitive psychology is essentially that it is the study of how people think and how emotions, ways of thinking, and other internal aspects affect a persons actions and behaviors. "Cognitive psychologists study how people acquire, perceive, process and store information." (APA, 2022). It has been a while since I have taken a psychology class. I am looking forward to gaining more knowledge about cognitive psychology!!
