Ensuring that workflows, machinery, or any equipment is running efficiently may be costly initially but preventing sudden failures is more cost effective over the long-term. Sudden failures can cause disruptions during the production process can cause a long list of costly ripple effects like labor downtime during repairs, interruptions in timelines, and possible increase in the cost of the product/service (Alhourani, Essila, & Farkas, 2023). Who can be most impacted is from the demand, customer dissatisfaction can increase if disruptions occur, jeopardizing the chances of a product/services success. A good PM program has a good understanding of their equipment's vulnerabilities failures and has regular PM scheduled to monitor and maintain these potential vulnerabilities
