    2. If I were going to search from my computer or phone for a place in my town that sells birthday cakes/cupcakes, what words would I use? These words are called key words. For the assignment, list three searches that you would use to find the product/service you are looking for.

    3. Key words are built into a company's website. Remember, a website is the central part to all online presence. When typing in the key word searches, your goal is to find your company on the first page of the results. If it isn't, your next step would be to suggest the company talk to the website developer to optimize it's search results.
    4. For this assignment, explain if, where and what
      1. Does the company show up in the first page of search results?
      2. If it doesn't show up on the first page, where does it show up?
      3. Does the company's website show up? Or is it a listing in the white pages? Or is it a negative review that shows up (not good).

    1. For this step, you could give the company an entire audit of their website, but for this assignment, we are going to look for social media presence only.
    2. Look at the landing page (the part of the website that you are taken to first). The landing page is usually the home page of the site, however, not always.
      1. Are there links to all the company's social media platforms (Facebook page, Twitter, Instagram, etc)? On which platforms does the company have a social media presence? Does this make sense? Would you suggest others? Explain.
      2. Are the links at the bottom of the webpage or at the top? Is the location of the links good/bad?
      3. Do all the links work? Do they direct you to their social media platforms?
      4. Is the website mobile friendly? Does it look good when viewing it from your computer/phone/ipad etc?
      5. Does the URL make sense?
