What is CRT, and how is it used within the social sciences to understand racism within society? Why are states across the country banning lessons that involved CRT readings and scholarship? Do you believe such bans are useful - why or why not? If so, how do you suggest that students learn about race and racism without talking about American laws or other banned concepts? If not, what do you think should be done to protect the rights of students who want to learn more about American history and the connection between law and the construction of race and racism? What do you think should be done if at some point a federal ban on talking about structural racism in schools or in non-profit organizations is introduced?
