Importance of File Systems in Computing

A file system is crucial in computing since it plays a significant role in controlling how data is stored and how this data can be retrieved. Additionally, it helps in separating data or information stored in a computer into various specific groups. In contrast, file sharing protocols refer to various high levels of networks that play a role in providing the server and clients' language

There are various types of file systems, so choosing the type of file system to use carefulness must be considered because every kind of this file system has different properties of speed, security, and size. I will choose the following file systems; the New Technology File System is usually abbreviated (NTFS) (Neyaz, et.al 2-4). Because, based on its overall performance, it is realizable that data that is stored under this file system can be quickly recovered, encrypted and compressed. Another advantage of this file system is that it provides cross-compatibility with other platforms quickly. However, on file-sharing protocols, I will choose FTP (Rahim, et. al1-2). This is because it allows the exchange of data through two separate channels: the data channel used to transfer the files and the command channel used mostly to authenticate users.

When using file systems, its also essential to ensure that only those who are authorized developers are the ones who are being allowed to access the files that they require through embracing the use of two-factor authentication. Apart from that, it is also essential that one can configure some of the fault tolerance for developer files when using file systems by ensuring retrieval of files from cloud-connected devices and identifying and correlating software faults.
