What is your opinion on this?

Working for a large manufacture company and seeing growth would be tremendous. When you witness such growth in a company you begin to grow as well. Since the organization is considering hosting its custom web apps within containers, possibly within the cloud this can save them money. Not only will this save them money but it can also improve on scalability. Containers can create self-contained virtual packages as well as virtual machines itself. Of course containers came way after virtual machines were made, but back then virtual machines was everyone's go to. This is what they used to optimize server capacity. Since the organization will be growing and the servers and clients are expected to double virtualization would definitely be a great fit for the company. When they do virtualization they will however need a hypervisor which just orchestrates the available resources by separating them. Of course virtual machines comes with their disadvantages like the company wants to possibly host the web apps within the cloud by using the cloud could be difficult when trying to move them into private or public. The life cycle with virtual machines are more complex because of the increases in virtual copies and resources that are required. As far as containerization it will solve any number of problems regarding to software development. Although containerization is new with advanced resources, it can be challenging for some people during the process. I guess when it comes to trying too choose between containerization and virtualization both of these have there own unique ways of enabling the company. Virtualization runs multiple OS systems on the hardware of a single server and while you are using one single server containerization has you deploying multiplying applications. When trying to decide just try to sit down make a plan and go from there. Im sure that both would be able to be used in this large manufacture organization thats is continuously growing.
