What to include in my LLB Law notes - Key Things to Focus on
Dear Sir/Ma'am,
I hope you are well. I am a 1st Year Law student, and I am extremely stressed because I do not understand how to take effective notes for my course. Would you please be able to suggest a system I may be able to adopt with regards to note-taking, please? For example, for each topic we cover, what are the main bits of information I should be noting down? I understand that I need to include relevant cases, as well as judgements and a general overview of the topic, but would you say I should include anything else? Also, do you have any advice with regards to structuring my notes, as this was something I have struggled a lot with throughout my education.
Also (sorry for all the questions), how would you say is the best way to improve and prepare for essays and problem questions with Law? Would you say that using tables to plan my answers would be a good way? Also, we've been told to use IPAC/IRAC for problem questions, and having this as a basis to form my answer upon is really useful for me. Is there something similar to this you could recommend for approaching essays?
And (last thing), I'm confused as to how to add headings in my essays and problem questions, as our lecturers have told us we should be doing this? I don't really understand what to name my headings, and how to approach this. Do you have any advice regarding this, please?
Thank you so much in advance for all your help,
