You are studying the impact of a new hypnosis treatment on memory retention. To test this, you recruit 40 people to participate in your study. On day one of the study, participants are given a memory task in which they have 20 minutes to look at a list of 75 words and then 30 minutes later are asked to identify which words were on the list. On day two of the study the participants go through the hypnosis treatment prior to getting a new list of 75 words to look at for 20 minutes and then the same memory task 30 minutes later. The number of items correctly recalled is documented for each session. For every participant, you also recorded if they have taken PSYC101, their age, and their Major.
