What types of monetary incentives does your organization offer? Please be specific in terms of the types of incentive plans offered as well as the overall structure. Also, does your organization offer any non-monetary incentives, such as recognition or service awards? If so, please list what they are. Finally, how effective do you feel these monetary and non-monetary are and what adjustments would you suggest in terms of making incentive programs more effective for the organization? While working at Boasso Global they offered a $50 dollar gift card at Christmas time, and they offered years of service incentives as well. I do not remember the amount of money, but I do know that they recognized the 1st, 3rd, 5th, 10th, 15th, 20th years of service. The $50 dollar gift card at Christmas time I enjoyed receiving. I do remember a lot of employees complaining that they did not feel valued by that amount of money being given. The employees didnt offer to give the gift card back either. The programs for the drivers were better regarding monetary values because they received safety bonuses as well. General office staff were not offered safety bonuses, only management and drivers. Once a driver receives recognition for overall safety, they would create a poster with their picture on it and hang it on the walls at the office. I felt that the incentives that they gave had drawbacks to them. The holiday bonus made employees feel underappreciated and the years of service, for employees in between the years given recognition is sorely lacking. I believe all employees should be valued the same. Therefore, safety bonuses should be given to any employee that meets the safety guidelines that are adhered to at Boasso. The years of service so be recognized in some type of way for every year worked not just a set amount of time. The Christmas bonus should be reevaluated and set at a higher amount. When employees feel valued thats when they want to perform their best.
