Here are the instructions: (Please read to the bottom of this page.)

STEP #1:

• Setup a Google account if you do not have one:

• Go to Google.com and click on the 9 dots in the upper right corner.
• Pick Maps
• Create a new map

• Make a map that has a minimum of five mapping points that shows how COVID-19 is relevant to long-term care.
• • • The map points could be outbreaks, mass testing, resident cases, deaths, staffing issues, how facility design has been impacted by COVID-19 (HVAC systems), risk management due to lack of PPE, ..... to name a few. It can be local, national, or global.
      • Please consider items learned thus far in class, including LM # 5.
        • For example, you might research topics that correlate with our LM #5 content such as:
          • incident command systems
          • risk management
          • quality of care
          • theory of supportive design
          • design of communities and how designs might be changed due to COVID-19 (consider universal design, innovations in residential design, regulations, facilitiesmanagement, aging inplace)
• Label each mapping point.
• Add a map title and description that tells us what you are showing with your mappings.
• • Descriptions should be at least show two paragraphs showing the research that you completed. In-text citations are expected.References can be put in the actual discussion board posting.
• Provide access and share the map with everyone so that the class has access.
  • This means you will need to make your map public.

STEP #2:

• Copy and paste the URL to the discussion board.

STEP #3:

• In the discussion board text box, include the map URL, write 1-2 paragraphs as to how the topic you chose relates to long term care and the LM #5 content.
• • This will be done within the discussion board - not the map.

STEP#4:

• Add your reference listing to the bottom of the discussion posting..
