what you like/constructive criticism of this post. There are certainly many things that differ between the two, however the primary focus to me is that of communication, relationships with team members and collaboration as well as aspects of work-life balance. As previously discussed, communication and misunderstandings can be a significant problem, leaders must work to maintain clear and open lines of communication and engagement from all members of the team. There has to be cohesion within the team and decrease the chance of members feeling alone or siloed within their own worlds. Virtual or face-to-face, it is still a team and must act as one unit to complete a task or mission. Finally with virtual work that can be done, often at different times, hours, days, etc. a leader must be understanding and empathetic to the work-life balance of all team members. Just because a team member is at home with access to the internet and may not be actively doing something personally important...it is not respectful or appropriate for the manager or leader to expect the team member to work on off hours. The manager and leader must understand these things and be flexible while still maintain proper performance monitoring but in a way that is just and reasonable within the team and dynamic of the situation or working environment (Bright et al., 2019; Northouse, 2021). Diverse thinking and opinions are paramount to performance and progress
