whats your response in a discussion forum? I feel this quote refers to leadership coming from within. That you have to find the leader within yourself in order to be a leader. No one can make you a leader, people can only provide guidance on how to be a leader. You can apply this in leadership development by reminding people that they need to first look within themselves to find what are their strengths and then their weaknesses. Self-development is the key to being a good leader. If you are not well rounded yourself or believe you can make a difference, then you might fail in your journey to being a leader. One impactful concept I learned in the past 10 weeks is on leadership theories. I learned I am best suited for the transactional leadership style. I have been a part of many teams in my career so far and have led over half of them. I have always prioritized the team members' relationships for a smooth work environment. What this can do is it allows me to be a better leader by putting a point of reference behind what I do. Also part of being a good leader is being able to follow as well when needed
