When a firm responds to its global environment with a global strategy and then organizes with a networked glocal structure, various types of cross-border teams are necessary for global integration and local differentiation. These include teams between and among headquarters and subsidiaries; transnational project teams, often operating on a virtual basis; and teams coordinating alliances outside the organization. (Deresky, 2016) Each of the consulting firms I reviewed responded to the needs of being glocal and brought the knowledge and skills needed to support companies in various countries build their human resources and meet the strategic needs of the company. Deloitte, McKinsey, and BCG developed competitive global management and maximized human resources around the world. They all worked within various industries as well as supported the needs of expatriates, inpatriates, and nationals. If I were running a global organization, I would use a consultant to develop my IHRM team to work with my expatriates. They have the specialized skills and resources to support the needs of this specialized workforce
