When defining a new activity, it is important to identify its start and end dates, assign responsibilities and negotiate with stakeholders so that all parties are comfortable with the changes and have a clear understanding of what is expected from each other. Activities add value to a process by enabling the identification, analysis, and resolution of problems. However, an activity is not a process.
