A women's casual sheath dress with beading accents has a retail price of $138.00. The recommended method of cleaning on the garment label is dryclean only. The customer wore the garment and then took it to the drycleaner to be refurbished. When the dress was drycleaned the beads dissolved in the cleaning solvent, leaving loops of thread on the garment where the beads were attached. When the customer picked up the dress from the drycleaner she was very upset and blamed the drycleaner for ruining the garment. The drycleaner explained to her that the care method on the garment label was followed and they were not responsible for any damage to the garment.
