When thinking about organizational effectiveness, some important factors must be considered. Criminal justice administrators are constantly looking for objective criteria to offset the effect of "organizational culture" and its practices. More so than ever, criminal justice agencies, particularly the police, are now being held to higher standards of accountability. Although criminal justice administrators realize the effectiveness of good objective measures, in offsetting organizational ineffectiveness, attempting to guarantee accountability for all personnel is unrealistic. However, establishing a realistic system to measure organizational effectiveness is a good start.

 Address and perform the following:

1. As a criminal justice administrator, discuss what sort of system would you create to objectively measure, as well as enforce, organizational accountability and effectiveness within your criminal justice organization.

2. Discuss why other systems for measuring and enforcing organizational accountability and effectiveness could ALSO prove to work efficiently.
