Whether or not Bhagat read the emails ahead of time or not is questionable but within twenty minutes of the last email being sent by the CEO, Bhagat made a large purchase for Nvidia stock. Not a half hour later, Bhagat's good friend, Mamat Gill made the largest purchase of Nvidia stock of the year. While these details are coincidental, it is highly unlikely that the men knew nothing of the contract and emails. The United States charged Bhagat for criminal insider trading and tipping.
