Why use landfill gas for electricity? One reason is CO2 reduction. It has been estimated that a 1 MW gas generator needs ~ 700 m3 of 50% methane per hour. From this baseline, estimate the CO2 reduction for a 100 MW gas power plan running on this landfill gas.
