With a topic of interest in mind, generate a research question that could be answered using a within-subjects design. Remember, for this design, your subjects serve as their own control, and all subjects receive all levels of the IV. If the IV is treatment time, for example, all subjects would receive the same treatment and the DV would be measured at least three times during the study (baseline, half way through, end of treatment). If the IV is treatment type, all subjects would receive all treatment types and the DV would be measured for each subject, at each treatment type. Keep it simple and ask a question that could be easily answered using a within-subjects design. Then, state the null hypothesis for your research question. Would the Repeated Measures ANOVA work to test your null hypothesis? Why or why not?
