(a) Alpha Medical Company placed an advertisement in NST, Star, Berita Harian and other newspaper for their products, stating that any person who purchased and used their product, herbal syrup but still contracted Covid-19 despite properly following the instructions would be entitled to a RM1,000 reward. The advertisement further stated that the company had demonstrated its sincerity by placing RM10,000 in Maybank account to act as the reward. Sarah saw the advertisement and purchased the herbal syrup and, despite properly using it, she contracted Covid-19 and attempted to claim the RM1,000 reward from the Alpha Medical Company. Alpha Medical Company contended that they could not be bound because it was an advertisement. Advise Sarah whether she is entitled to the reward of RM1,000.
