Write a cover letter that would accompany your resume for a job application. It should be to a company that you would actually apply to for a job you are actually interested in. You can either write this completely realistically--as a college student applying for a job or internship. Or, you could imagine that you're just graduating now and that you're applying for your first job out of college. In either case, I'd like this to be a solicited cover letter. That means that you're responding to an actual ad or job listing. This is a real job that you're applying for. So make it realistic for your experience. And please include a copy of the job listing with your letter. You can just cut and paste it into page 2 of your document. Make sure to get your readers attention in the first paragraph. Try to show your experience/skills in terms of benefits to the reader. Remember to connect yourself very specifically to the job/company. Dont forget to end on a pleasant note that suggests an interview.
