Write a formal paper of 10 pages minimum , with APA formatting and a Mind map (Argument map ) considering below format :

The goal of this assignment is not to propose the project itself. That will be done later in working with your project mentor. The purpose of the final project in this class is to make a case for why evidence will be needed to address some aspect of the topic or issue you are interested in and to detail any ethical issues that might surface in the execution of such a project.

One way to think about the project (for framing purposes) is as follows: Imagine you are pitching your project to a "client" (it could be your boss, your project mentor, or someone else), and you need to convince this person that (a) EEBDM is a useful way to consider your project and (b) that you are well-versed enough to use it effectively. You should assume, therefore, that this person is not well-versed in the terminology used in the course and would benefit from an explanation of key ideas, why they are important, and how they relate.

Your paper should contain the following sections. How you approach each section may vary from student to student, but ensure you effectively cover all the elements contained below.

Introduction

  • Include abriefgeneral introduction to the topic, decision, or conclusion you want to address.
  • Explain the purpose of the project and why it is important. This should allow you to segue into an explanation of the type of decision you plan or conclusion you want to be able to draw in your exploration of the topic. (this is a revision/extension of what you produced in Assignments 1 & 2).
  • Explain why evidence-based decision making would be beneficial. (This is essentially your thesis statement.)
  • Also mention the importance of considering your own frame of reference and how that might affect your decision making (for better or worse), situational factors that may influence the decision (for better or worse), and potential ethical issues you could encounter and how to resolve them so as to ensure your decision process/outcome is ethically defensible. (your roadmap)
  • Mention you have constructed an argument map to help visually lay out the reasoning underlying the decision you plan to make (make it Figure 1 and embed it at the end of your paper but please also submit it as a separate image file; it should look at least somewhat similar to the map presented below.(Note that it is best to construct your argument mapBEFOREyou put your paper together so that you can use it to help guide your argument.)

Sources & Types of Evidence

  • Explain why evidence is needed (at more depth than in the intro) and what value the evidence is likely to provide.
  • Explain whether multiple sources of evidence will be used andhow each source would be expected to inform the decision (i.e., what purpose will each serve?)(this may entail at least a discussion of Barends et al. or mini-lecture 5.1 from Week 5).
  • Explain which type of evidence (e.g., factual, statistical) each source is expected to produce and how they affects its use in your decision making.
  • Explain any limitations in the evidence you plan to use (e.g., accessibility, low quality) that might decrease the likelihood you will reach a satisficing conclusion and what types of error could be introduced.

Situational Factors

  • Explain whether there are external factors (from Week 6) that might influence the likelihood you will reach an accurate conclusion, either increasing it (e.g., stakeholders who support the effort) or decreasing it (e.g., time pressure, stakeholder conflicts).
  • In the case of situational factors that might decrease the likelihood of an accurate conclusion, explain which types of error could be introduced and possible ways to minimize the likelihood of error.

Potential for Ethical Issues

  • Explain whether there are any inherent ethical challenges you foresee in your project. (This will be a revision/extension of Assignment 2)
  • If you encounter any ethical challenges, explain how you might resolve them (note, you must address this even if you do not foresee any)

Frame of Reference (Reflection)

  • Explainhow your personal frame of reference (e.g., strong opinions, experience, values, degree of competence/expertise, decision-making tendencies) could influence the way you gather, evaluate, or draw conclusions from the evidence (both positively and negatively)?(this should come from Assignment 2, any revisions based on the feedback received, and any additional thinking you have done on this topic).
  • For issues of error, explain what could be done (if anything) to minimize the likelihood of an erroneous conclusion.

Conclusion

  • Summarize the key points you made in the paper
