Write a Python function to add integers in a list. You must write your own function using def. Do not use any built-in functions to sum a list. Sample list: [1,2,3,4,5,6]. Add some type checking to the previous function, if the list contains non-integer values in the list, issue an error and stop the function instead of runtime error.
