Write an INFORMATIONAL LETTER TO INVESTORS AND PRESENTATION AT A STAFF MEETING
You have an email from the chief information officer, Ms. Boss:
Hello,
I need you to handle the communication for big changes coming up at SeeMoji. Investors need to be on board with a new business plan to add animated emojis to our product line. They also need to be assured that despite the recent pandemic, we are implementing this growth plan and expect it to be successful. Staff members need to be aware of the expansion as well.
My admin will send you information about the changes. Convey the information clearly; I need buy-in from everyone.
Thanks!
Ms. Boss CIO, SeeMoji
You have an email from Patricia Baker, Ms. Boss's administrative assistant:
Hi,
I'm Ms. Boss's admin. Here is the information she has provided about the changes taking place over the next few weeks:
- SeeMoji will be introducing animated emojis as a new product.
- Prototype animated emojis have been very popular with customers.
- Animated emojis are projected to yield a doubling of annual revenue.
- SeeMoji will be increasing our staff size by 10%.
- The new hires will be animation specialists and will make more money than current designers because of their specialized skills.
- Employees have been productive working from home and will continue working from home for the next three months.
- All meetings will be via Zoom.
- Payroll will be double because of new hires and raises.
- Current employees will be getting raises.
- New hardware and software will be purchased at a cost of $1 million.
- Current designers will be required to take online training to learn to use the software.
- A VPN (virtual private network) and login information will be provided to designers to give them access to the new system from home.
- The software training will be done online during working hours and count toward your paid hours.
- Designers must score at least 90% on the training modules in order to use the new hardware and software.
- All changes are part of a larger plan to increase SeeMoji's business and help the company make money in these challenging times.
Investors need to be notified of the changes with a formal letter signed with your name, and Communications Intern underneath.(No bullets, please!)

Justifyingall that new spending will help get buy-in from investors, so consider how you present changes to this audience. For example, increasing staff size has drawbacks, but emphasizing the benefits of a larger staff can make those drawbacks seem not so bad. Most importantly, make sure you read ALL of the items posted under this assignment in this week's packet.
