Written Evaluation & Portfolio (Experience Summary) Assignment (34 pages) #GEA2

(Student Learning Outcomes 1, 5 and 6 on the syllabus)

Maintain a written summary of the projects, tasks or daily routines you encounter during your internship (tax preparer at a small office). At the conclusion of the internships, use the written summary as a basis for evaluating the academic and work experience you received from the internship. The evaluation should include what you learned that added to or reinforced what you have learned in your courses, and how the internship helped you develop your workplace skills. This assignment should serve as an outline when discussing the internship experience in an interview.

If possible, and only with the approval of the internship organization, provide samples of your work product(s) as part of your portfolio. It is acceptableand expectedthat you provide samples with all confidential and proprietary information redacted. If you are unable to provide copies of redacted work, it is expected you will provide a write-up of your work assignments with specific information of the objectives, learning experiences, and outcomes of the assignments.

Students will be provided with feedback on their written summary that is intended to aid in enhancing writing skills.
