The next day at work, while on break, you are all discussing the motivational theories and how they apply to your everyday work life. The discussion reveals that most employees are not motivated because they never see their boss. While most employees consistently show up for work, they are disheartened by the inefficiencies of processes and inadequate equipment in the office. There are many occasions wherein employees discuss how these issues can be solved. However no one of authority is around to hear their comments, so they continue on in their routine and do the minimum work that is expected of them.
