You are a brand new Sergeant assigned to the 24 Precinct on Manhattan's Upper Westside, and get called to a dispute between a furnituremoving company and a client.

You speak to the clients who are anewlywed couplewho are having all their furniture moved to a new apartment on W. 88th Street. It seemswhen the young newlyweds signed the contract theprice for the move was $1500.00 dollars and now that they are at the location, the movers are demanding $3000.00 dollars.

Themovers state that if the couple does not pay the newly listed price they willseize their furniture and see them in court. The couple is beside themselves and calls the police to mediate this problem. Incidentally the moving companyhas a legal right to seize the furniture if the contract is violated, and that is what they plan on doing.
