(a) Mr Barnard has just turned 65 years and needs to retire. He is unhappy since an amount of R10 000 will be deducted from his pension benefit because it is alleged that he stole a company laptop.

(b) After the matter has been resolved, the money was paid back into his bank account. The bank refuses to let Mr. Barnard withdraw an amount of R50 000.

(c) Mr Barnard would like to sell his old house and buy a bigger one in town.

(d) Mr Barnard and his neighbour Jairus do not get along very well, because when it is windy, the leaves from Jairus' tree fall onto Mr Barnard's driveway.

(e) Mr Barnard's unemployed daughter has applied several times for her five-year-old son's grant (child grant) but was told by an official that she must learn to abstain from sexual relations.
