You are an accountant and have your own advice column - Ask Dr Decisive in a local newspaper. Yesterday, you receive the following letter asking you for advice:
Dear Dr Decisive,
My girlfriend went with my family and I to Thailand last month, and we had a great time. But we have a question that we hope you can answer. Suppose a business has accumulated frequent flyer points (which it hasnt used yet) from plane tickets that it purchased for business trips taken by its employees. Are the business frequent flyer points an asset or an expense? My girlfriend says they are an asset, but I think they are an expense. We have a bet on your answer. If I lose, I have to learn Thai massage. If she lose, she has to take Muay Thai kickboxing lessons.
