You are applying this filter in order to locate the traffic generated from the Netcat command you performed in Part $1.$ You may recall that the port scan option, $"-$z$,"$ used in the Netcat command uses TCP by default. However, if you were to filter by TCP packets, you would also be displaying the various TCP traffic generated by the other application protocols you utilized, such as FTP and Telnet.
