You are asked to solve the following problems and submit your work. Show the steps in your solutions so that one can reproduce your results by means of simply following your steps. Note that this is an open book exam. 1. Assume well is producing at production rate of 2000STB/d for a flowing bottomhole pressure of 3000 psia in an undersaturated reservoir (PVT report provided the bubble point pressure as 2000 psia) for a circular drainage area of 40 acres under stabilized conditions (i.e. flow regime that operates after boundary effects are felt in a closed boundary drainage area, pss flow regime). The average reservoir pressure is 4000 psi. (35 points) Using the above pieces of information, a. Calculate the straight line PI and qmax for straight line IPR, and write down the q max normalized Straight line IPR equation for this reservoir b. Calculate the rate at bubble point pressure c.
