You may use any reputable source you wish - online; newspapers; trade journals etc. however you need to quote the source and provide a copy of the ad in the assignment. Number your responses according to the questions - you may use bullets and point form.

Analyze the ad and answer the following questions:

1) Describe the product(s) in detail you would be selling. Apply marketing terms - how would you classify the product being sold i.e. industrial products - raw material, component parts, large capital industrial equipment, small business supplies, etc. If they are retail products tangible or intangible, durable or non-durable. How technical is it?

3) Will they provide any sales training describe.

4) Is there travel involved in the position describe.

5) What qualifications are they looking for?

6) Describe the compensation package.

7) Write a brief customer profile of a typical client you would be serving.

8) Is this a sales job that appeals to you? Explain your reasoning.

You need to find an ad that provides you with answers for all of the questions; this may require some extensive research however you may however contact the company to find out any of the information required for the assignment. Be sure to identify yourself as a student of KPU doing an assignment in a sales course and quote your source by name and title. Some response may require you to make some assumptions provided they are realistic. Be sure you have a cover page and a separate, neat photo copy of the advertisement. Your write-up should be no more than 2 pages in length.
