You are currently working as the Functions Co-ordinator at ANIBT Hotel in Melbourne City. The hotel is undergoing some major renovations and internal changes and would like to add some large events in its functions centre to increase business reputation and profits.. As a result you have been directed by the General Manager to source the services of new alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverage suppliers/ producers who can provide sponsorship opportunities for these large major events in ANIBT Hotel over the next five years. The General Manager has advised you to provide to the board of directors the following proposals: 1. Develop a plan that outlines how you endeavour to build business relationships with the suppliers. The plan must include: 1. a) A "selling point" script on what you are going to propose in order to get your suppliers interested in becoming a sponsor. This would include your description of the events including benefits to the supplier 2. b) Thecommunicationmethodsthattheparticipantwillemploy including verbal and non-verbal types, the environment that the participant wishes to conduct any meetings and the presentation and format of the meeting (for example formal or informal). 2. Based upon your plan to establish business relationships with you chosen suppliers/ producers, describe how you will conduct negotiations, taking into consideration any cultural contexts and organisational goals. Describe the method of negotiations that you would use and outline the areas where you may need to source feedback and input from other colleagues and/or stakeholders. Your plan should include: 1. a) 3 offers that you would be able to negation on, 2. b) Areasinwhichyoumayneedtosourcefeedbackandinputfrom other colleagues and/or stakeholders could include financial data regarding previous suppliers/ producers, statistical information from the sales department regarding previous beverage sales and intended forecasts, information from the marketing and/or sales department to assist with advertising and sponsorship details 2. Based upon your plan to establish business relationships with you chosen suppliers/ producers, describe how you will conduct negotiations, taking into consideration any cultural contexts and organisational goals. Develop a report that details how you intend to foster and maintain the business relationship, including how you would source and act upon information needed for relationship building. Ensure that you include in your answer how you intend to measure performance and make adjustments and amendments to future negotiations and contracts.
