The market price of Preference shares for each company is KO 80 The 12% Bond of RST Pic has a total market value of K525 milion while the 12% Bond of POR Plc has a total market value of K495 million. RST Plc has just paid an annual dividend of KO.50 per share. Dividends have grown annually at an average rate of 5% and it is expected that this growth rate will continue for the foreseeable future. POR Pic has just paid its annual dividend of KD 60 per share. For PQR Plc, dividends are expected to grow at an average annual growth rate of 3.75% Both companies pay tax on their profits at the rate of 35% The after tax oost of the bonds is 9% for RST Pic and 7.85% for PQR Pic. You have also established that the risk free rate of return is 7.48% and the market risk premium is 5.76%. The relevant beta factors are 1.5 for RST Plc and 1.8 for POR Plc.
