You are midway through a 15 hour shift and you receive a call from an employee who turned on his computer and was unable to connect to the internet. As more employees arrived to work, computers that use the corporate Wi-Fi were unable to connect but the computers using a line (wired) were able to connect. The opposite side of the building and other floors were able to connect. There are other offices throughout the state and they all are having no issues in regards to internet or connectivity. 1) What is a possible problem? 2) What is one possible solution? 3) What is a reasonable workaround? 4) Should there be a policy that covers this outage 5) From a project management stand point A.) when would you escalate this call or ticket? B.) What teams would you create or assemble? C.) What message would you give to clients? Think of company politics - too little information some my view as incompetent -too much the client will fall asleep on the phone and 30 other calls are behind the one you are on
