You will fill your buret with the known hydrochloric acid solution and titrate a 10.00 mL sample of the unknown sodium hydroxide solution (and 25 mL of water) in an Erlenmeyer flask. A methyl red pH indicator will be provided to help identify the end point. You will need to formulate a procedure and execute the experiment, completing any needed calculations to determine the concentration of the sodium hydroxide solution. Optionally, you may choose to use a pH probe and a LabQuest to collect pH data as you titrate.

1. Write out a stepwise procedure (list of numbered steps) that you plan to execute when you come to lab to do the titration. (You instructor will review and offer feedback in person; you must have a written procedure before you can start the in-person portion of the final). 2. Construct a data table below to fill in during the experiment showing which data you will collect as you perform the experiment. It can be modeled after the data table in the first experiment this semester should have areas for various quantities such as moles, molarities, stoichiometric ratios, titration volumes, and averages (if you plan to perform more than one trial).
