You are requested as a process engineer to perform the analysis on both dry and wet basis of the product stream generated from the combustion unit of your plant. Butane (C4H10) is burnt in the combustion chamber at a rate of 250 mole/hr with 150% excess air. 80mol% of the feed goes to complete combustion while 15mol % goes to incomplete combustion and the balance remains unburnt.
9.1 Draw and completely label the process flow diagram.
9.2 Calculate the mass flow rate of the air stream entering the combustion chamber.
9.3Perform the analysis of the flue gas on both dry and wet basis.
