You are the leader of the World Health Organization (WHO). On January 30, 2020 the WHO declared the COVID outbreak a global health emergency. What would you look at to address a global emergency. Include the differences in high income and low to medium income countries. What strategies would you utilize to mitigate the spread and thus control the disease? (with the lack of a vaccine). Would these differ in low to medium income countries? Discuss the strategies from an ethical and cultural perspective. Be innovative, we know what was done already, if you had a clean slate how would you approach a global emergency? What do you believe the role of the WHO is and is it necessary?
