The company could lose its competitive advantage if it does not take immediate action to improve its results. Recently, an investment was made for the automation of the production lines and the owners understand that they can do without 1,000 employees (a quarter of their workforce). The owners ask you to work out a communication plan.

Give the news to the employees who will be laid off.

Retain remaining employees and not scare them.

Avoid creating a false impression to customers that the company is in poor financial condition and that they withdraw their patronage.

Prevent shareholders and persons of interest (stakeholders) from misinterpreting this decision and continuing to invest in the company.

Make press releases in a timely manner. You do not want information to be leaked to the media.
