You are to select an industry application where an expert system (ES) could be put to practical use and then provide a high-level analysis of the proposed application by addressing a series of questions below. You can use the ES Applications list on page 483 in Sharda as a starting point, but do no feel limited to that list. Your selected application might relate to where you work currently or you might find an article in the news that introduces your ES application.

Once you have identified your ES application, analyze its practicality by addressing the following about it:

1. Identify the industry and provide a general description of the application of ES within that industry. (High level introduction of your selected application.)
2. What are some specific problems, questions, or business needs that will be addressed by this ES?
3. How will it be financially justfied? (Dont' worry about cost other than you know there will be a real cost that needs to be justified by the benefits.)
4. What will be the sources of knowledge to build into this system (people, internal data systems, external sources, web scraping, etc.)?
5. What are some possible challenges or roadblocks to acquiring the knowledge base? How might you address those risks?
6. Who will be using this ES and what kinds of skills will they need to be proficient in using it?
7. Identify any potential ethical considerations related to implementing this ES? How might you control for those ethical considerations?
