You have a mixture of 35mol% gas A and 65mol% gas B. You want to calculate the fugacity of the mixture and of its components at 500 bar and 400K. To determine the constants required you use a piston-cylinder apparatus from which heat can be removed. You perform three different isothermal compressions: 1. A compression on pure gas A. 2. A compression on pure gas B. 3. A compression on the mixture of the 35/65 mixture. The initial temperature and pressure in each case is 400K and 1.0 bar. The final pressure in each case is 500 bar. The final volumes that were measured are tabulated below: Calculate the following: a) the fugacity of pure A(fA) b) the fugacity of pure B(tB) c) the fugacities of A and B in the mixture (f^A and f^B) d) the fugacity of the mixture (f) e) What is the fugacity of the mixture at 500 bar and 400K if you treat it as an ideal solution
