You have been asked to design an Ethernet network for a large business in two 4 story buildings that are immediately adjacent to each other; the buildings have single-mode fiber that runs between their first floors. Each floor of the building has 20 stations and all the floors need to be able to communicate with each other across both buildings. Assume cabling is not an issue and that you could add whatever twisted pair cabling needed in the building. Each floor of both buildings should be on the same vLAN. The vLAN numbers shall be 10 times the floor number (ie floor 3 should be on vLAN 30). Youve been given 8 switches each with 24 copper ports and 2 fiber ports.
