The group has moved into the working stage after some significant storming behavior in weeks three and four. Two group members, Rebecca and Ainsley, have developed a strong alliance and challenged you and your co-leader about the structure and process of the group. The group spent two sessions processing this and seems to be back on track. In week five, you and your co-leader used cutting off to keep the group on track and avoid going back into the distractions and surface content being presented by both Ainsley and Rebecca. At the start of this week's session, both Ainsley and Rebecca share with the group that they won't be participating because they don't see the point. Rebecca adds that her anxiety is well-managed and she doesn't even know why she continues to attend group.

You and your co-leader have continued to work with the group of eight college-aged women exploring challenges related to anxiety management at college. While the group has moved into the working stage after some significant storming behavior in weeks three and four, some challenges still remain. You arrive early to set up for the group's weekly session and are met by Janelle. Janelle has attended the weekly sessions regularly and is a quieter member of the group, but she does participate and has contributed significantly to the group throughout the six weeks you have worked together. Janelle is quite distraught and says that she would like to speak with you about something she observed over the weekend. She shares that she was at a local shopping center and saw two group members, Ainsley and Rebecca, having lunch.
