You have read about a new strategy that will help people's reading speed. The population you wish to study is high school students in the United States. To conduct your study, you go to the library one day and select the first 40 students that you encounter to be part of your experiment. You subject pool consists of these 40 students. To conduct your study, you will first have all students read 15 written pages and record the time it takes them to finish. All students will read the same material. You then pair up each student based on how fast they read this initial practice reading by pairing the two fastest readers together, then next two fastest readers together, and so forth until all students are paired.
